PARTNERING WITH TATRC

TATRC is a U.S. Army research lab that partners with other government agencies, programs, academic institutions, and commercial entities in order to further its’ mission of fusing data, humans, and machines into solutions that optimize Warfighter performance and casualty care.

TATRC partners through a variety of mechanisms to include:

  • • Funding contracts, grants and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) projects;
  • • Teaming to pursue military and civilian funding opportunities;
  • • Forging CRADAs (Cooperative Research and Development Agreements), data sharing agreements and other forms of partnership; and
  • • Conducting simulation and performance measurements to explore and understand the intersection of humans, data and technology in medicine and healthcare (i.e. measuring the impact of technology on human performance in operationally relevant clinical contexts).

In addition, TATRC administers the Advanced Medical Technology Initiative (AMTI) Program, which provides small funding investments to military or civilians assigned to a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) or Operational Unit for identifying, exploring, and demonstrating key technologies and enabling biomedical principles required to overcome technological barriers that are medically and militarily unique. This initiative and Call for Proposals plays a vital role in the fulfillment of these objectives to include advanced technology development, demonstration and validation of important new technologies and procedures.
