LTC(P) Jeremy Pamplin, a critical care medicine physician and TATRC’s newest Deputy Director, was a featured speaker at the 2018 Association of Military Surgeons of the United States (AMSUS) Annual Meeting. This yearly, tri-service event was held from 26 – 30 November at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.
LTC Pamplin participated in a discussion entitled “Telemedicine to Reduce Medical Risk in Austere Environments” and focused specifically on Virtual Intensive Care Unit (ICU)s / Mobile ICUs.
The AMSUS Annual Meeting is the only conference where federal health leadership and professionals from the Department of Defense, Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services, Department of Homeland Security, industry and international partners come together to share results of collaborative efforts and exchange valuable information. Participants are able to learn about innovative medical advances and superior practices in patient care and health administration and connect with others in federal healthcare.
