U.S.Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) Contracting & Acquisition
USAMRAA is the contracting element of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) and provides support to the Command headquarters and its worldwide network of laboratories and medical logistics organizations. USAMRAA also supports the Fort Detrick Garrison and its military tenant activities, Army-wide projects sponsored by the Army Surgeon General, and numerous Congressionally mandated programs.

Tools for Investigators: Protocol Preparation and Approval

All DoD-funded research that involves the use of human subjects, animal subjects, cadavers, or anatomical substances must be reviewed and approved by the USAMRMC Office of Research Protections (ORP). Individual offices within ORP are the Human Research Protection Office (HRPO) and the Animal Care & Use Review Office (ACURO). The links below are intended to provide investigators with access to resources on all of ORP’s functions and requirements.
